In this video I use up some small off cuts to make a segmented type. I'm unsure of all the species however there's absolutely – Purple Heart, Wenge, Walnut, Spalted Beech, Black Palm, Oak, Zebrano, Iroko, Kingwood and Sycamore.

I was able to obtain a bunch of cherry and walnut cores that were left after they took off for veneer. They have been used for many projects so far. Always enjoy your work. thanks for posting.
