I believe Yew is an actually cool and intriguing wood with loads of character. so I'm going against my much better judgement with this piece and casting it in resin coloured with Pewter mica powder to turn a hollow type.
I will prepare my self for the remarks.

Pewter was an interesting choice. At the beginning when the resin had set it didnโt look much, but the contrast between the dark resin and the light wood was as clear and beautiful as night and day. Thanks Andy.
I guess in this case it should be called p’yew’ter. ๐
Otherwise I totally agree with you.
Thanks Chris ..
Really love the pewter effectโฆevery time I get to the video end & finished product I say โhow did you do that!โ
Thanks Andy, Iโll say it againโฆin my view youโre The Master Wood Turner.
Thanks so much

As usual Andy-another beautiful job!!! ๐ซต๐๐๐
Another amazing and beautiful bowl love the colour of the pewter
Another great piece, Andy. Let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be an Andy Phillip video without resin involved somewhere. Keep it up.
Beautiful result Andy. The lip? is amazing! The contrast is perfect. Thank you for sharing your incredible vision, your skill and talent making it happen while we watch, your time and your adventure.๐๐ค๐ชก๐จ
The colour’s are quite spooky and when you were emptying out the wood shavings, it looked like the gut’s of a pumpkin, being scraped out. Very appropriate for the time of year, I love it! ย โค
OMG that is absolutely STUNNING love the combination of the resin colour and the Yew great contrast
That is absolutely gorgeous and the colours go together so well. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐

Your dust collector brackets are clever. I like that idea. Easy to move from position to position.
I cannot imagine why you’d be worried about the comments. Your artistry and craftsmanship never disappoint.
