I used online estate sales for my tools. I was able to get a table saw, drill press, band saw, router table with router, belt sander, jointer, bench grinder, and a torpedo heater, all for less than $400. As I go along, I’m replacing them (they’re all pretty old) little by little with newer and better quality tools.
I got a 10″ delta drill place for free. Just required some good old WD40 and elbow grease to take out some surface rust. We have a marketplace chat at work!

Can’t make curved cuts with a table saw but you can make wooden circles with a bunch of straight cuts.

I use a rachet straps instead. I glued up large tables with those and could use the few clamps I had on other projects whilst it was drying.

+1 for drill and driver. An impact driver feels like a superpower when you’ve only had a drill.
