But the only tools I have are a broken pencil and a torn belt loop. Can I still make box joints?

  2. I *love* the tip of drinking half the bottle before gifting it lol
You have to make sure it’s good!

  3. LOL! That’s a great tip about drinking half the bottle before gifting it – I really have not been living my best life!

  4. I did this project as gifts for my dad and father-in-law a few years ago. Still one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. Hand made gifts are the best. Happy holidays and thanks for sharing!

  5. totally agree. I love the cleaning up and squaring up of rough lumber. It’s really satisfying to uncover all that beautiful grain than even a plain piece of lumber holds OH MAN!!!! So good!

  6. after all, if you are going to all that effort to ensure a good build, you must ensure the enclosed gift is worthy of the build. skoal!

  7. 4:30 me (owns a Shaper Origin and loves it): jealous of that router table with automatic fence, lift, and DRO with programming. It looks very fun, not gonna lie

  8. Hmmm … “… drink half the bottle before gifting it” … sorta takes me back to the old Drunken Woodworker days!
