The skill required to turn to a perfectly even and delicately thin section such as the one on this piece is, in my opinion, the mark of a true craftsman. The vision to see the finished piece in the raw material is the hallmark of a true artist (in my opinion, of course). Spectacular as always sir.

Laburnum is nice. It has a deeper, richer colour to it. You made a lovely vase. I like the flared shape.

I love the cross-grain patterns from working on it in the counterintuitive direction. Yes, it’s a very attractive wood especially when worked cross-grain.
