Cubiio GORDIX. The incredibly early bird Kickstarter list:
I have actually owned a great deal of CNCs for many years however the GORDIX differs from anything I've evaluated. No rails, no devoted table, no enormous footprint. It's a portable CNC robot that clamps to any surface area and can cut a complete 4×8 sheet of plywood. In this video I put it through its rates: routing, laser inscription, and pen outlining, then integrate all three into a single wall piece to see what this machine is truly capable of. If you have actually ever desired a CNC but didn't have the area or budget plan, this may be the one.

Looks like a baby Maslow CNC. Interesting to see a miniature version. It’s cool that you can knock it down and store it in a little box. Definitely more space friendly than the Maslow.
I was getting “inspired by Maslow” vibes too.
Cool variant.
Can’t wait to see what the pricing will be on this.
It’s amazing what it can do.
Thanks for showing this off.
if this is done properly it has the prospect of becoming a game changer. For those of us who don’t have the space but still want a cnc this could change the market.
Dang. I think it’s the CNC I’ve been waiting for!
Interesting ! Very well thought tool !
Almost like a Shaper origin, but not. I can see where this could also be handy on custom, onsite builds, like floor inlays, tables, counters… I wonder if you use it on concrete..hmm. Guess it just depends on your router and bits.
1:45 Not sure how much added cost it would be but it seems like you could have an automated system for the distances to the posts. A couple of tracking markers on each post and some cameras on the unit to calculate how far away the posts are.
What type of masking tape did you use? Was it PVC (vinyl?) by any chance? In case it is, you don’t want to lasercut that, Google why. It’s about the C in PVC which is very harmful both to machine and health.
What happened to goliath cnc?
Wow that’s insane. Such a good idea
Does it work on a Mac?
I only use Macs
Laser, router and auto pen! Cool!!
Wow David this is very cool never thought I would get a CNC BUT This is something I would truly consider. Thanks for sharing
I built a 4’x4′ CNC as a DIY project. It was fun, and I used the crap out of it for about a year. But now, it just sits and collects dust and other things I throw on it.
This would be a perfect alternative for someone like me who doesn’t batch out stuff but rather makes things one-off and just piddles in the shop. Cool tool, for sure.
Yeah, I always wanted a CNC after seeing all the cool stuff people do with them online. Finally bought one and I’ve barely used it at all. I just don’t have much reason to cut shapes out of flat stock.
Cool device – also that’s awesome Claude can generate the tool paths via an .svg input!
Very neat, not a new idea, but it seems well executed.
There is a similar belt CNC thats vertical. But that needs counter weights.
My only concern is what happen if the sled gets snagged on something
Now that is impressive, I do not have the shop space for a full time CNC but I do have a spare Makita MakPack and a Makita trim router. Seriously considering moving this from my list of wants to my list of needs.
Looks like it would be great to do custom wood puzzles and make additional ones on a demand basis. No inventory sitting around!
How soon is it available and cost. Perfect for my small workshop
That’s very impressive and my hat’s off to the developers. I’d 100% buy that for the right price.
As my nerdling is done from my garage I just don’t have the space for a CNC, but this I could certainly see a use for.
