  1. Hey, David. These trivets look great. I love your books and I know that I would love Grandpa Picciuto. Thanks for the video.

  2. Made several 40+ years ago and they are still going strong. Used the router for a dado for the tile and also to profile the edge. This is a great starter project as they can be made with a minimum of tools.

  3. One of those products that I always need, but I never buy and haven’t taken the time to make. Thanks for making one for me! ๐Ÿ™ƒ

  4. “A, always. B, be. C, clamping. Always be clamping! ALWAYS BE CLAMPING!”

Great video for a great looking project. Quick question: do you glue the tile in somehow, or does it just sit?

Also, I want to have whiskey with Grampa Picciuto.

  5. I bought your book last year and made trivets and the utensil holders for Christmas gifts. They were a hit, thank you!

  6. Oh damn!!!! I GOT AN IDEA, that item, if you size it up more you can make a raised topper for a table top game, like pathfinder, d&d and more, for the DMs that like to put scater terrain down in stead of maps, what a useful item, even more if you take it to a place you haven’t seen it before

  7. Your shop is so colorful and looks like it would be a blast to work in. Well done sir. I love it. Cheers.

  8. Hey David! I’ve been a fan of the Making It podcast for awhile now and I rediscovered your channel from that. I’ve definitely grown to love the channel, in particular your music

  9. This is awesome!!! I have some from Holland with delft tiles and I hate to use those so this will be awesome to make more!!

  10. Fantastic work, Dave! I’ve never seen something like that! Loved it! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Stay safe there with your family! ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿ˜Š

  11. This is the type of Make Something Video that Iโ€™m used to. Davidโ€™s sarcasm and snarky comments. Love it. Keep up the good work.

  12. This style of trivets have been on my project list for a while now. They look great. The t-shirt design is amazing also

  13. Dave I havent been around in a while i guess but the show looks awesome. Love the new colors and the mural wall is beautiful. Also I had no idea what a trivet was but this was awesome.

  14. This was definitely one of my dad’s favorite projects from when I got the book for him – I don’t think he’s made it yet, but he’s sure talked about making it a lot! I hate the router’s smell too haha!
