Woodturning a Sycamore Root..

In this video I turn a Sycamore root ball in to a natural edge type. As typical with root balls, it was quite a tricky turning but I handled to keep it pretty much undamaged. I completed it with Danish oil.

  3. That’s how you get to the root of a sycamore, isn’t it? The object wasn’t quite a simple even piece of wood, which made the lathe sound lika a machine gun, especially from 1:45

  7. Nice piece. Reminds me of Two-Face from Batman. One side is regular the other side is not so “good” looking. Lol. Two face vase. Lol
