Woodturning – A Bolt From The Blue⚡⚡

In this woodturning video I take a branch stub or knot from a beech tree and turn a footed natural edge type. I filled the split in the knot with epoxy which I thought looked like a lightning bolt!! I completed it with Danish oil.

  3. Early on that looked like a fairly grumpy and dangerous piece of timber but in the end, properly tamed and turned into a very delicate and elegant example of your work. Brilliant as usual sir.

  4. Now that is really beautiful and so simplistic but they added blue resin really does elevate it to something special. Such a great idea adding the balloon to get to the results that you needed. This bars would look absolutely fantastic in any home.

  7. You’re only the 3rd other youtuber I’ve seen use a rotating headstock! I love mine and use it on every bowl. I don’t know why more people don’t value this feature, it makes hollowing so much more comfortable! Great looking piece as always!
