I observed that some good friends had a bunch of fire wood logs that had begun to form some spalting!! Certainly the only decent thing to do, was to pinch some pieces (when they weren't looking) and turn some of it.

it’s been a while since i’ve fallen in love with a piece on this channel. The final products are always skillfully made, but this one feels unique and purposeful rather than just throwing a block on the lathe and making another oblong bowl. Stunning work.
