  1. Please, fix the electrical connections you made at 18:08 and on. You didn’t even solder them. Use a proper terminal block inside the junction box, because you don’t want 110/230 V wires coming loose due to an unforeseen pull and shorting out against the cast iron case of the motor. You didn’t even put a strain relief in the junction box either. Even worse, the motor is fixed to the all steel frame of the saw, so it could potentially electrocute you during use of the saw if a wire comes loose. The paint is the only thing that is preventing that from happening. Also, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of the bearings.
