Steve, It’s been awhile since I saw you make that one many years ago! Nice short for people.
That was so effing cool. Loved this
ah that’s how you fit a square peg into a round hole!
The more you know :)~
Steve that’s a job we come to see absolutely very very cool😜
That is awesome, I need to try this one out
Cool! I happen to have some 3 x 3 and 4 x 4 scraps. I need to try this
This is one of those head slappers. So simple and so Cool!! Thanks.
Yup, that’s the one that got me into woodworking videos on YouTube. Waaayyy back in 2008ish.
Same, I found Izzy Swan first, then the rest kind of followed. Stumpy Nubs, Woodworking for Mere Mortals and a few others who do the finer arts of the craft.
Killer short thank you Steve
I’m 99% sure the old video of this project is what got me hooked on this channel and itching to try woodworking.
Love your work 👍
Oh boy. Impossible Nail video part deux that keeps on giving! I gotta say, Steve, your Shorts game is on point!
That’s awesome. Now I have to get a drill press so I can make one. Does it matter what size block and bit you use?
Love your content Steve. Longs, shorts, projects, info….I watch them all…! keep ’em coming
Excellent use of the shorts format
We had to make these as apprentices as a metal turning exercise including polishing all surfaces and mounting on a base. Cool wee project.
Polishing the inner cube must be an absolute nightmare!
@muh1h1 the trick is to do the majority in the lathe before it parts off and becomes its own entity within the outer. Then it’s just the small corners to do.
Hey Steve, I love your channel. I know I’ll be taking your weekend woodworker course. You’re too cool to miss. Thanks
Made one of those a couple years ago. Skill builder for sure!
The original long form version was the first videos of yours I watched.
My uncle used to do things like that by hand, just sit with his pocket knife and whittle. One of my favorites of things he made was taking a stick he found while out walking, and turning into a like a 6 link chain. All by hand. I have no patience for that, I like your method 🙂
