I tried to make the most of this log ..

This Silver Birch log had a couple of burls on it however they were at a little an angle and were rather prominent. I was convinced if I just turned this into a vase or a bowl I would turn away the majority of the burls so I chose to turn a couple of Torus's. I followed the angle of the burl to cut the blanks so I hopefully wouldn't waste too much, I then utilized the smaller burl offcut to make a number of stands.
