I Almost Burnt This Horse Chestnut Burl !!

In this woodturning video, I take an actually punky piece of Horse Chestnut burl which I was close to putting on the fire wood pile, but chose to stabilise it using epoxy resin, coloured with mica powders and turn a cool goblet.

  7. Ohh, there’s lovely! As my old Welsh friend used to say, bless her. It is impossible to overestimate what a really weird knobbly piece of wood is capable of becoming in the right hands, as here. I do love the random-bits-of- stuff approach, they always come out best.
