Beneath the Bark !!

I normally wish to keep the bark on natural edge pieces, but I knew this piece of Horse Chestnut Burl would be cooler without it. Thankfully I managed to eliminate it and also add some carved feet to the piece. I utilized premium Danish oil to finish it.

  6. To this day I still don’t know how your channel ended up in my feed. It was probably after I was checking out axe prices online at my local hardware store about 3 years ago. That’s algorithms at work I guess.

  8. I was hoping you’d leave some of the exposed burl. Debarking can be a pain, but totally worth it. A lot of people never see the real hidden beauty inside. Thanks for showing it in the fashion you did!
