I developed a brand brand-new 2.0 version of a tool bench that's faster to make, completely adjustable, and works perfectly as a tool bench, table saw outfeed table, or even home kitchen cabinetry. It includes enormous storage drawers, clean style, and can be sized to fit your area, whether you remain in a complete workshop or building without a shop like I did. Everything in this construct is made from just 2 sheets of 3/4 "Baltic birch and two sheets of 1/2", using the most economical tools I could find. And the best part? No complicated joinery, no CNC, and drawers so basic anybody can do it.

You’re such a good teacher. Effortless switch from your recent creative vids to this tutorial style. Filming outside – lighting and sound still perfect. Masterclass.
❤️ Thank you!
Great video! I’m sure Bill will have something to say but whatever Bill 😂. Also…yeah…I would totally add Fast Build to my playlist.
My dad did flooring professionally for decades and I got to work with him long time. One of the best “homemade” tools he had was taking a drywall T square and cutting it as you did to be a circular saw guide. He riveted a diagonal brace on left side to keep it true. Many pallets of plywood cut with that tool.
That’s a smart modification!
I really like the ‘cheesy’ music 🙂

THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT REALLY IMPRESSES!!
Nice build David, you make it look so easy !
Hope you’re finding the new “level” floor satisfying, bet it feels so much better.
The only complaint I have is that I can’t stop singing “no shop, cheap tools……..”
Thanks so much for that 😁
❤️
Heck yes! love it! just need to wait for my salary to the fusion file! Brilliant Sir! The music is great!
That soundtrack!!
Nice video, David – I enjoyed the outside experience.
I like your outlook on the cheap tools! Sometimes thats all we can afford, but other youtubers give them the old “this is crap, dont buy it, spend $800 on this instead”
Great video demonstrating that cheap tools in experienced hands produce quality result! Hopefully, showing how to lower some common barriers encourages someone to start building or finishing that thing sitting in the basement for 6 months.
I get why you enjoy the new direction of your channel and I have enjoyed the new videos but you really are a great teacher. You are one of the main reasons I now have a workshop in my garage.
What did you just say about my mom!?! 🤣 Another fantastic video – always an awesome day when you’ve posted a new video. When do we get to see the ‘weens again? Love you man!
Catchy tune! Wow, can I identify with THIS video! I have no shop. I have no garage; I do have a 10×12 shed but my woodworking tools share it with garden tools. It’s a driveway and nothing else. Some of my tools are a step above Wen, but I have no thickness planer. No room. BTW I’ll be 75 on Saturday so I gave up kneeling after 2 knee replacements. Just a seasonal woodworker here.
honestly I dig the song 😛
Hold on…was that mechanical pencil really the cheapest you could find?! Shop build videos will never get old for me, thanks!
Woodworkers love pink foam… and overkill, subtraction, deadlines, walnut, re-making things, local suppliers, robots, superpowers… wiener dogs and Dave Picciuto 😍
❤️
Nice work !
David, I’ve been waiting for this video after hearing you talk about it on the podcast. I need to totally revamp my shop and I think this may be the answer to many of my equipment and material storage issues. Great solution for fast and easy to build work surface/shop storage.
This type of content is much needed in the space, well done. One small note- they’re cheap tools- we get it. You don’t have to keep saying it 1000x, it’s overkill. But, make more like this. 🙂
