  1. Happy New Year! I need to reassess my workplace alright – it’s a disaster. I’ve found some areas for improvement, especially with tool placement, board support for hand tools (especially vertical holding), and more. I use smaller cutoffs for campfires.

  2. Happy New Year, Steve! I was just contemplating some shop reorganization this morning — talk about kismet…hippy. 😉

  3. Actually in the middle of a shop organization project. Can’t wait to have it done and have things feel a bit more organized out there

  4. Those XMAS boxes, extra blankets and things that supposedly can be used one day are always crossing that imaginary line. Love your videos Sir.

  5. It can feel like a full time job just organizing the shop and building shop furniture for storage/efficiency solutions. This video inspired me to toss out an entire shelf of plywood offcuts. But watch in 2 months I’ll need those 2×2 offcuts for something 😅
Happy new year to all the makers that read this comment! Make some sawdust

  6. Great ideas Steve, another good idea is to first draw up some plans before moving anything. Next try to do some simple organizing not to laborious, this way you’ll try to get items together, afterwards you can develop a plan for the storage and or idea to thin the heard. Be it donation or yard sale. Happy New Year, and happy de-cluttering.

  7. Perfect timing Steve! I’m finally moving into a place with a dedicated space for a shop. I already have the weekend workshop too! Great video as always!

  8. This couldn‘t have come at a better time! The holidays / november and december are actually my busiest time because I make most of my money at christmas markets, so now is a great time for a reset 😌 Alll the way back a little of a decade ago you got me into woodworking, it‘s great to see you again!

  9. Thanks for all the tips, Steve! 😊
    Happy new year!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

  10. Sooo timely! I just spent the last couple of weeks recalibrating my tools – squaring tables to blades, replacing or cleaning bad blades, cleaning out scraps I’m really not going to use. Great to see you, Steve. Regards, Liz

  11. Welcome back Steve. I have always enjoyed your videos. hope you can find time to make more this year. you know you are a workshop celebrity. Hope you had a good Christmas and happy new year to you and your Family from us here in Australia.

  12. Oh Steve, this video could not come at a better time! I’m making “Mission: Garage Takeback” my New Year’s resolution. My wife bought me a Bambu Lab A1 for Christmas, and I’ve been going hardcore into Gridfinity and Multiboard. Just got a 10×10 storage unit – so Christmas boxes and other garage occupants are being evicted 😂 – we are re-working the garage together to build her a new stained glass multipurpose work bench for our craft room. I’ve been watching you since the nail-in-a-2×4 days, your videos always put a smile on my face. Thank you for everything you do!
