  1. A wooden kayak is one of those bucket list projects… I was also interested in the super-light skin-on-frame kayaks also. Not as much woodworking in one of those, but they’re so ridiculously light! (I mean, maybe not quite as cool as a Bat House in a Parking lot, but still….)

  2. The channel is called “Make Something” not “Make Something Under Artificial Constraints”. I for one just want to see you make the best things you can and inspire me. I’ll figure out my shop’s limits myself – because I’m inspired by you.

    1. Spot on. I understand that people may want to see spaces which kind of look like their own but it is still odd when people fake space, tool and time limits….as for the latter enough with creators running around saying I need to build an entire bedroom in 1day because ‘insert silly reason made up for YouTube ‘.

  3. David, you do you. Bat house to Light house. Whatever floats your boat (that you’re going to make in the future). I’m here for it.

@7:45 I don’t have a pickup. So I have to break down my sheet goods in the parking lot. I go far away, and use foam boards or the Bora Centipede to cut it. Then I started bringing my dewalt tracksaw so I can cut it square/accurate. One day, a lady walks up and asks what tool I was using. I explained that it was like a circ saw but much more accurate and it saved a ton of time (when making fine cuts). She asked if HD sold it and I said, yes. She went back in and bought one for her husband. (Lucky guy) Home Depots of the world should have a parking lot show-n-tell. They can even have some YT’ers there for a meet-n-greet. I’ll bet throngs of people will show up.

  4. As someone with ADHD, watching you go through all your plans and plan changes… Super relatable. We’re just doin’ our best.

  5. Stay creative! There are lots of how to channels, but not many creative.
You help Wood workers think differently about how they approach projects.
I’ve said in past comments, you’re kind of the Adams of woodworking as far as walking people through your process, which is amazing

  6. I love the direction of your channel, moving more towards art and creativity. It’s also going to be fun watching you become the Jimmy Diresta of kayaks!

  7. Really appreciated the honest take on budget tools videos — and those handmade wooden gift boxes turned out beautifully. 👍

  8. We all watch you and love watching you on the journey and are here with you where ever the journey takes you and us

  9. I was here when it was you, a tripod and some beers, building coasters and bandsaw boxes. You just keep doing you, quite sure it Will work out. Cheers from Denmark
