I found a $5 Casio toy keyboard at a thrift shop and entirely reimagined it into a custom walnut and steel instrument. I rebuilt the cheap plastic body with handmade wood side panels, laser cut steel faceplates, radiant vacuum tube preamps, and built-in guitar results like EQ, delay, chorus, and reverb. Every information was fabricated in my store, from accuracy panels to speaker grills, even custom screen-printed labels. The result is an one-of-a-kind playable masterpiece that changes both the design and the noise of the original Casio keyboard, lo-fi grit fulfills high-end art. If you're into woodworking, metalworking, synthesizers, DIY instruments, or innovative builds that combine music and style, this task demonstrates how far you can press a basic dabble the right tools and imagination.

Verrry cool… you have so many talents, and have honed your skills to make so many steps, methods, look easy – and it isn’t! Very fun build, thanks!
Not only is this project fire but the edit and music are too!
Thank you
I’m tired of these famous podcasters coming to YouTube and just using crappy AI music!
😆😆 Great video man. This is so impressive. I love the design and the number of skills you have collected in order to pull something like this off so well is absolutely astounding. Thank you for sharing with us. Thank you for everything you do. You’re an inspiration. ❤
😜
Game over – you’ve won all levels: YouTube, Woodworking, Art, Audio and Video production. And we get this for free!?? Incredible- thank you.
❤️❤️❤️
Yes!!
I don’t even know what a Moog(Spelling?) is, but I dig the retro vibes and the yellow!! Been watching the channel since way before the rebrand, and this has to be the coolest build I have seen on the channel!
Sir, your creativity is inspiring. That is absolutely awesome!
Impressive. The open song you made reminded me of the old computer games we played in the late 80s and 90s. You out did yourself.
It’s so cool to see this video after hearing about the project for so long. I’m happy you waited for the right inspiration – this is awesome! I also love seeing people’s hobbies overlap like this. All sorts of crazy fun things can happen when you combine typically separate interests. Creativity doesn’t have different boxes for different types of projects
Ok David, David ok! This is hands downs you! Inspiration, design, execution, production, skillset utilization…this is what Picciuto art looks like! Well done Sir, well done. 👏🏻
This was soo good it hurts! I have to try and build one now. amazing work.
Thank you!
i stick it in my KAKA had me laughing hahah Man this came out AMAZING!!!!!!!! so so so cool!
Man how this takes me to an 80s action movie is awesome. Great job
Dude, imagine your high school self watching this video. Every skill set you developed, culminating in one awesome build.
Incredible. Such a great mix of so many different techniques. Creativity unhindered. And everything in its right place.
I appreciate that your artistic vision remains true to you and not dictated by your fancy lasers and 3d printers to appease sponsors or show off capabilities. Other channels have posed the question how will these types of tools change woodworking, and you’ve shown that there will be two camps- “true to my artistic vision,” and “what craziness is this thing capable of?” The latter just feels simultaneously forced and watered down.
Wow! This build is so cool and creative. You have awesome tools, yes (and made good use of them) but the heart of this was a really fun spirit of trying stuff that anyone can bring into their own creations. I feel like you’ve hit a new stride with work like this and the illuminated beer sign-inspired frames
David, been a subscriber for over 10 years; I don’t to much creating anymore (kids, work, ennui) but I always come back to watch your channel. I recently started to learn piano and playing with synths and this is really fantastic work, it’s incredible how you’ve transformed your work over the years and developed your skill craft while retaining the spirit, style, and messaging. Love it.
Music Nerd, Wood Nerd, Retro Nerd, Design Nerd…. and of course Weiner Dog Nerd. This is so creatively weird and cool, David
Unbelievable!!! Two of my favorite creative Davids here together. Looks and sounds incredible!
David, dude…What a killer project! There are so many creative and unique things you did with this. Your talent blows me away!
