  1. In the years I’ve been watching you, choosing the best side of the wood was great to learn early on.

  2. Nice. Simple. elegant and useful. Maybe it’s time I got rid of those half-dozen plastic drill-bit cases that always seem to be missing the one size of drill bit I need at any given moment and put ALL the bits in one place! And at the same time, I can use up some of those odd little pieces of hardwood that I haven’t been able to throw away because “They might come in handy some day”.

  3. Great design! I made this bit organizer 5 or 6 years ago when you first made a similar video and I still use it almost every day.

    1. As long as it’s still storing the bits, technically you’re actually using it every day!

  4. love the look of it… I think I would need a bigger box, for shovel bits and perhaps separating out wood from concrete and metal bits .. thank you!

  5. chamfer is not only for better look, it also prevents chipping on the edges, so it looks good and it serves a purpose to this shop project

  6. Timely!! I will be making this very soon. I hadn’t thought to create the different sizes with center dividers like that.

  7. How about etching your logo or a skull and cross bones on that top panel??
Good video. I enjoyed watching it. No one does project videos better than you. Thanks.

  8. I sweated a bit about the position of your thumb when separating the two halves of the box.

  9. Great project that is a really good skill builder. A nice followup project would be an organizer for these boxes if you have multiple of them.

  10. Nice storage project. I like to use “infrastructure” projects like this to experiment with finishes. Thus the collection of storage solution projects in my shop looks like a rainbow of various stains, milk paints, spray lacquer, Osmo polyoil, clear polyurethane, etc. etc.

  11. Nice design. I can modify this to make a case for my auger bits instead of them banging around in a cardboard box. Thanks.

  12. I don’t know what it is, but listening to princess meyama’s meow meows theme at the end always puts me in a better mood

  13. That’s brilliant, Steve! Really beautiful work! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

  14. I love that after all these years, you still have great practical projects and are still in your little garage shop. It is so relatable. Too many content creators end up in a 30,000 sq ft “dream shop” with 100K+ worth of tools in it.
