  1. When she opened the lid, it would have been funny if she said, get the flock out of here. Lol, another creative video. The Slayer references were hilarious!

  2. Nice! Love the use of mixed materials, and I’ve never heard of flocking before! Another tool to add to the tool belt, thanks for another awesome video.

  3. I spit my coffee. “If you don’t have a laser you can use your CNC”. I’ll buy that T-shirt.

    1. I literally just spit out my coffee hearing that. After listening to David on the Making It Podcast struggle with being hesitant about showcasing his CNC/laser tools to this… Chef’s kiss.

  4. Beautiful work, Dave! Really well done! πŸ˜ƒ
What I’m liking about this series (is this a series already?) is that, instead of complaining about the IA, you’re actually using it… As a tool it actually is!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! πŸ––πŸ˜Š

  5. I’ve always struggled using spray glue, but now I realize it is all about the flurish and making sure everything is sticky around it. Thanks for the tip!

  6. “If you don’t have a laser, you can use your CNC.” I love this! I’ve heard you talk about not wanting to make project videos using the fancy toys on your podcast, and I am happy to see what is possible, even if I don’t have/don’t want/can’t afford the tools. Keep it up!

    1. Is cool to see the potential of those machines but this project was not out of reach if you have a band saw.

  7. Loved the video! Wished you could (maybe in future videos) use maybe a minute extra to show the finished products.

  8. CUT OUT THE BLOOD! I can almost see the whole album cover in my head. I’m really digging the AI inspired projects, as always awesome video!

  9. awesome. I really dig that you used AI to design it. I think this is the first maker video that i’ve seen where the creator used AI to design the thing to make

  10. Oh the day when, β€œIf you don’t have a laser, use your CNC” is no longer comical but feasible

  11. Nothing says “I love you” like blood and flocking. Fun build that went some unexpected directions. Looking forward to next week: “If you don’t have a big CNC, use your Shaper Origin.” 😁 Thanks for sharing!

  12. A LOT of creatives are terrified of AI, suing AI, angry about AI. I LOVE seeing you embrace it as a tool to add to your toolbelt!

    1. The issue is that you’ve got people who choose to not embrace AI as a tool. As just one more tool in one’s aresenal. Take an image, work on it further in photoshop. Generate some code, implement it into the bigger project. Make a design like this box? Make it into reality.

  13. I was thinking that you might do a presentation box of your retired wedding rings through the years – maybe that’s next years project.

Very big tip of the cap to “If you don’t have a laser, you can use your CNC” and elevator music styled Slayer cover albums. Perfection.

  14. I legitimately spilled my coffee all over myself due to your hilarious Slayer album jokes 🀣
Also, love the line “if you don’t have a laser, use your CNC” 🀣

  15. For the nail polish to be more 3-d, try sealing the wood, then adding baking soda or plaster of Paris to the nail polish. BTW, nail polish from the dollar store or even WalMart is cheaper.

  16. I love your AI series as well as your remaking series you do. It would be cool to see you combine the two, like using ai to reimagine a vintage piece. Also, I really like the way you filmed/edited this one πŸ‘
